This page explains what kinds of images I use on styles-4-you.com, how I credit and license them, what edits I make, and how you can request changes or removals. My goal is to respect creators, follow good licensing practices, and keep credits clear and consistent.

What images I publish

I use a mix of sources to illustrate fashion and beauty ideas in a practical, first person way. These include

  • my original photography and graphics
  • licensed images obtained through valid agreements
  • brand press images and product photos provided for editorial use
  • images I create for Pinterest and social channels that link back to my posts
  • collages and mood boards that I assemble from assets I own or have permission to use

How I credit images

I place credits near the image or at the end of the post in a clearly labeled section. When I have the information, I include the creator’s or brand’s name and the specific collection or product name. For collages and mood boards, I list components or note that the collage was assembled by me from licensed or permitted sources.

Permissions and licenses

I only publish images that I own, license, or have documented permission to use. Brand press images and product photos are used within the scope of the permission provided, typically for editorial and informational purposes. If terms limit timing, geography, or placement, I follow those limits.

Fair and editorial use

When I discuss fashion history, trends, or product identification, I may use images in a limited, transformative, and descriptive way consistent with editorial use. My intent is to inform readers, not to substitute for the original works or diminish their value.

Editing and alterations

I make light edits to improve clarity and accessibility, such as exposure, color balance, cropping, and minor retouching. I do not alter images in a way that misrepresents a product’s color or texture. If I create composites, overlays, or text treatments, I do so to illustrate ideas, and I keep the context clear.

Pinterest and social use

I create original pins and boards that link back to my posts. When I save or reference brand imagery in a pin, I aim to include descriptive context and credits. If a platform changes how attributions display, I update descriptions on my side where possible.

Using my images

You may save my original images to your personal Pinterest boards if the pin links back to the original post and the image remains intact. Any other reuse requires written permission. Commercial use, reposting without context, removing watermarks, or editing my images is not allowed without approval from legal@styles-4-you.com.

Requests and removals

If you are a rights holder and believe an image is used in error or requires a different credit, email legal@styles-4-you.com. Please include the page link, a description of the image, proof of rights, and the requested action. I review and respond in a reasonable timeframe and will update or remove assets when appropriate.

Model and location considerations

When images include people or identifiable locations, I use content I created myself or assets provided by brands with appropriate permissions. I avoid posting private individuals without consent. If you appear in an image and have a concern, contact legal@styles-4-you.com.

Stock and generated imagery

If I use stock photos, I follow the license terms and provide credit when required. If I publish any AI generated imagery in the future, I will label it clearly so you can distinguish it from photography.

Accessibility and alt text

I add descriptive alt text to images where possible so that readers using assistive technologies can understand the visual content. I aim for brief, useful descriptions that reflect what is essential about the image.

Hotlinking and bandwidth

Please do not hotlink my images. If you wish to reference an image, link to the relevant post page rather than embedding the file directly on another site.

Updates to this policy

I review this policy as my creative process evolves or as licensing practices change. When I make a material update, I revise the effective date and note significant changes at the bottom of the relevant post when applicable.
